Q How long will my furniture take to produce?
A Production typically takes 4 – 6 weeks from receiving your deposit. Certain factors - e.g. bespoke designs or extended lead times for special order fabrics - may increase this, but it is extremely rare. Upon receipt of your deposit, we will provide you with an estimate of when you will receive your furniture.
Q I would like a non standard size - can the standard sizes be altered?
A Of course! At Bennington all our metal furniture is made to order and we are able to incorporate changes to ensure you receive the perfect piece of furniture for your home. So if you want a shorter bar stool or longer table, please contact us. We will provide you with a formal quotation for all bespoke orders before we commence any work and in many cases, the alterations can be accommodated without additional charge.
Q I would like some samples – but cannot visit the showroom. What are my options?
A We would be delighted to send you metal, fabric and granite samples by post should you be unable to visit us. With such a wide range of options, we find it is very useful to have a brief conversation to help refine the colours, patterns and designs required. We are also used to receiving paint, wallpaper and fabric samples to "match" – so if you simply must have an armchair to match your newly decorated conservatory, feel free to send us a paint or wallpaper swatch!
Q Is there a standard delivery charge?
A Wherever possible we deliver and install furniture ourselves. Within a 25 mile radius of Long Bennington, delivery is free of charge. For deliveries within the UK Mainland, we operate a banded charging system that varies from £40 - £250 dependent on distance. Certain smaller items – e.g. lamp tables - can be packaged for courier delivery which typically costs between £20 - £50. Please contact us for full details.
Q I have a specific design in mind that isn't shown in the brochure. Are you be able to manufacture to my design?
A We are happy to work with you to create a unique piece of furniture. We will work with you to ensure that the product is suitably comfortable, strong and most importantly, safe. If you are able to supply a rough sketch or visit the showroom, we will be able to provide you with a quotation. Fully bespoke furniture typically takes 8 – 10 weeks to manufacture from receipt of deposit.
Q Can I supply my own fabric for upholstery?
A Yes, providing the supplied fabric is fire retardant and meets the necessary standards. Please contact us for further details.
Q What protection is used on the feet on the Table and Chairs?
A Cushioned felt pads are used on the majority of our products although some products use a durable, non scratching plastic insert. If you have a particular concern or requirement, please contact us for further details.
